BeHeardCVAUVA’s Center for Survey Research (CSR) conducted a water conservation survey among residents of Charlottesville City and Albemarle County, sponsored by the Environmental Sustainability Division of the City of Charlottesville. This survey provided a wealth of data that will be used by City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County Service Authority to understand public water conservation attitudes and practices, as well as awareness and effectiveness of water conservation programs in our region.
This survey was conducted with CSR’s regional survey panel, BeHeardCVA. Between November 16, 2022 and December 7, 2022, 851 BeHeardCVA panelists were invited to take the survey online or over the phone. A total of 337 panelists completed the survey, for a response rate of 39.6%. Survey results have been weighted to align more closely with the demographic composition of the population of Charlottesville and Albemarle. The following tables and graphs provide a summary of the panelists’ weighted responses.
